The play is based on Vladimir Sorokin’s first novel “Norma”. Maxim Didenko, director: “This text is like a drill that takes out the metaphysical basis of Russian consciousness. The concept of a norm, on the one hand, is static, but at the same time current: the norm is constantly changing, time flows, life goes on, we change and do not notice how something that was impossible to imagine some time ago becomes the norm.
Russian people sometimes get used to radical and terrifying things, and I want to explore this. This text is like a puzzle that you want to solve.”
The production is a synthesis of musical, dance, performative and digital arts.
